Weekly Art Classes
For the Love of Art (4-9 years) Does your child love art? Painting, collage, clay—you name it, they love it! In this class, your child will experiment with many different types of art while they make Van Gogh globes, dot to dot like Seurat and more. They’ll be leaning about famous artists such as; Henri Matisse, Georges Seurat and Vincent Van Gogh. What a great way for your child to explore the incredible world of art!

Art Workshops
Castle Creations Art Class (18 months-6 years) This castle is fit for a king, queen, prince, princess or maybe even a damsel in distress. Your young artist will use their imagination to create a castle scene using a variety of different art materials. No castle is complete without a fire breathing dragon, so we’ll add that too! Come and create right along with your child, children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Summer Art Camps
Disney Princess Dress Up (3-6 years) This fun filled camp will give your young artist a chance to transform themselves into their favorite princesses and fairies like Tinkerbell, Cinderella, and Rapunzel. Each day, we will create projects the kids can wear home! We’ll make gowns, crowns, jewelry, masks and more. This is art your child can play dress-up in! My Doll’s Big Adventure (4-9 years) Your child and her American Girl® doll (or another favorite doll) will love this art adventure! We'll make all the accessories the dolls need to travel around the world. We'll create jewels fit for a pharaoh, delicious pizza collages, African clay pots, colorful sombreros and more! We'll even make the dolls passports and fill them up with stamps! This is a new camp with all new projects! Please pack a nut free snack and a drink for your child each day. Lego Loco (4-9 years) Back by popular demand! Can’t get enough of your Legos® at home? Want to be inspired and challenged to create new and exciting Lego art? Use your awesome Lego building skills to construct a city, imaginary creatures, race cars, and plenty of original works of art all out of Legos! We won’t use just Legos. We’ll also use clay, paint, and tons of imagination to create these challenging projects. Each child will receive a disposable camera to photograph his or her amazing Lego creations! Dinomania (3-6 years) Is your child crazy about dinosaurs? Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops and Diplodocus - they love them all! The kids will learn cool facts about our extinct friends and be inspired to create fantastic works of dino art. We’ll create fossils, dino eggs, dioramas and more! Lego Star Wars (4-9 years) Legos® and Star Wars® - what an amazing combination! We’ll work as a team to paint a huge mural complete with stars, planets and far, far away galaxies. We’ll build star fighters out of Legos, stage an intergalactic battle and make a Lego Darth Vader bobble head. We’ll even make our own light saber. We’ll work with Legos, paint, clay and other art supplies to create these masterpieces that your young Jedi will love! Register early for this popular camp! Glitter Galore (3-6 years) Glitter, glitter and more glitter - kids love it! They just can’t get enough of the stuff. At this camp, the kids get to go glitter crazy. We'll create multiple projects all covered with glitter galore. We’ll work with air-dry and polymer clay, watercolor, plaster of Paris and of course glitter - lots and lots of glitter! Summer Weekly Classes & Workshops
Once Upon a Time (18 months-6 years) Silly monkeys, colorful fish and alphabet filled coconut trees. This class is part art class and part book club! Your child will be inspired by outstanding children’s literature. We’ll read fantastic books like Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Rainbow Fish and Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. Then, we’ll create our own masterpieces using the books as our inspiration. Together we’ll learn about different illustrators, art styles, art techniques and develop a love of reading! Me and My Doll Art Class (5-12 years) Where would you like to take your American Girl doll or another favorite doll? How about to the movies, the mall or maybe to the beach? We’re going to make all the accessories your doll needs to go on awesome adventures with you! We’ll make doll sized backpacks, purses, treats and more. Mini Museum Art Class (5-12 years) Is your child the next Van Gogh or Degas? Or maybe Kandinsky or Chagall is more your young artist's style. Find out in this wonderful class. We'll look at the work of famous artists that are all featured at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. We'll work with a variety of art materials including plaster, paint, clay and more and we create our own masterpieces. Your young artist will even get to paint on a real canvas!
